The Test Study
There were 70 test patients with Type 2 Diabetes who were selected for the study. They were separated into 2 groups of 35 patients each. (1) The "Test Patient Group" was given the Milagro de la Selva Tea tea. (2) The "Control Group" was given a placebo. The clinical trials took place over a 90-day period commencing on March 1, 2003 and concluding on May 31, 2003.
The Criteria for Inclusion in the trials were:
Individuals of both sexes suffering from clinically confirmed Diabetes-2 who have shown to be resistant to conventional forms of medications. All selected patients are suffering from chronic diabetic symptoms.
Individuals of both sexes ranging in age between 45 and 70 years.
Individuals who have not been treated with tranquilizers, anti-depressants, steroids and/or chemotherapeutic drugs for at least 3 months prior to the study.
Individuals who have not received any prescription medicines other than Insulin and/or oral hypo-glucosants for at least 3 months.
The results are as follows:
35 participants in the "Test Patient Group" were given the Tea, from which
21 achieved full remission ***
10 achieved partial remission **
X 3 achieved moderate remission *
X 0 achieved no change
X 0 achieved a worsened condition
X 1 drop out due to disqualification
Full remission *** - the patient/s blood sugar was brought down to normal levels (non-diabetic range) so that they no longer require diabetic medications.
Partial remission ** - the test patient/s blood sugar was brought down significantly and the amount of their previously required diabetic medication was significantly reduced.
Moderate remission * - the test patient/s blood sugar was brought down moderately and the amount of their previously required diabetic medications were moderately reduced.
35 participants in the "Control Group" were given a placebo, from which.
X 0 achieved full remission
X 0 achieved partial remission
X 2 achieved moderate remission
14 achieved no change
X 3 achieved a worsened condition
16 patients dropped out due to disappointment for lack of positive results
Summing up the results obtained from the report, the Director in charge of the Study, Peter R. Rothschild MD, PhD, FRSH and his collaborating colleagues concluded that the tea in Milagro de la Selva Tea "contains a natural neuro-immuno-modulatory and regulatory formula that shows significant efficacy in treating Diabetes-2" .
Observations:
1. All determinations were performed according to the normal guidelines set by the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) for standard, ambulatory, non-invasive clinical examination methods.
2. Each patient underwent CBS, SMAC-24, laboratory determinations, carried out not more than 15 days before and 15 days after the trials.
3. Each patient underwent monthly Glucose, Total Cholesterol and Triglycerides determinations between beginning and closing of the Study.
4. It is also noteworthy to mention that 17 of the tested patients have reported significant further relief from additional conditions.
